  • Put Your Dream to the Test By: John C. Maxwell

This book offered practical steps for reaching a dream. It’s about realizing what your dream is and then gaining the insight into what you need to ask yourself in order to make your dream a reality. Specifically there are ten questions that you should be able to honestly answer about your dream to realize if it is something you can accomplish. This book offers a lot of good advice for anyone who has a dream. John C. Maxwell asks all the right questions in this book about reaching your dreams and making them come true. He’s also very honest in his approach to dreams. I found the book to have many inspirational quotes and to be very insightful and inspiring to me as a dreamer. The message that is clearly conveyed is that it is not enough to just survive, you need to really live. It’s a message about doing what you’re passionate about and going after your dreams in life.

Put Your Dream to the Test was full of references back to many successful people who have made their dream a reality. This book opened up my eyes to the fact that dreams do take a lot of hard work, patience and perseverance, but the journey to the dream will make it all worthwhile. There were a few parts in the middle of the book which did not hold my attention as much as the beginning and end, but overall it was easy to read and held my attention. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone with a dream, which is everyone.
